Elizabeth Golden LMT, Doula & Dancing For Birth(TM) Instructor
in practice since 1996
"The first wealth is health" ~ Ralph Waldo Emerson
I discovered my love of natural therapies early in life. The pathways and techniques that brought me relief from various forms of illness and injury showed me that health is indeed the first wealth and have become my trusted tools for balance and wellness. I found my passion in maternity care after seeing and experiencing a great need coupled with the ability to have a profound affect on the human condition from the start! I also enjoy helping others gain deeper insight, presence and control to improve their health and happiness through inner landscape energy healing and metaphysical awareness. I've worked in medical and chiropractic settings, private practice and in the high end spa arena. I currently work as a doula and Dancing For Birth(TM) instructor and trainer in addition to my massage practice. I provide in-studio massage sessions at Center for Birth in Eastlake and hold regular DFB(TM) classes, support circles, labor prep class for couples and professional trainings.
“Self care is the best health care and prevention is a golden key” ~ Libby Golden LMT & Natural Birth Doula
My work as a doula* includes holistic fertility planning and conscious conception, naturally healthy pregnancies and holding sacred space for deliveries that usher our little ones through in a state of grace, love and trust. No matter where or how you birth, keeping birth and the first hours of life undisturbed and natural is my greatest honor. * ancient Greek word meaning "woman who serves" though it has become understood over time that a doula is a person who serves women in labor (with massage, movement, emotional & informational support) and supports long-term maternal & infant health and breastfeeding success.
